Three tracks from this album were recorded in a snap recording session in late 2009 (one was a remake of an unreleased track from the first Dr. Tissue album,) after a hiatus in music projects. I had been working as a producer/engineer for hip hop artist G Hill, recording some one-off 10,000 Lakes tracks in digital format rather than on tape, and two years producing Whatevercast. The three tracks I put down were a departure from the structured recording formats of these projects, so they fit the Dr. Tissue style right off the bat. The other 9 songs were recorded on 11/11/11, or, my most recent day off. Red Blossum and I were debating on whether to call this album "Soccer Ball" or "The Plaid Album." I told her I once took a picture of a soccer ball, so that's why it's called "The Plaid Album." It's the first full album I've put together in a long long time, so hope you like it!
